MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER- LET'S GET PERSONAL

Hi, everyone! My name is Dianah. I’m a 25-year-old Filipina who was originally born in California, but somehow ended up in little ole Russell Springs, KY. Prior to moving here, I spent my childhood in Harrodsburg, KY & spent some of my high school years in Shelbyville, KY. I’ve also lived in Jacksonville, FL, Guam, and Austin, TX. (Fun fact: I went to 4 different high schools and ended up graduating high school in Guam). I’m a dog momma to a 13 yr.-old American Bully, Beast. He keeps my fiancé and I on our toes!

I just recently graduated nursing school and I'm starting my career as an ICU nurse! My love for photography began when I was 12 - when I got my first camera. I took pictures of anything & everything –flowers, raindrops on windows, sunsets, butterflies. I was fascinated with how the camera could focus on one thing and blur the rest of the world out.  

Portrait photography became a new interest when I joined the yearbook club (was committed to yearbook in all 4 high schools) and started taking pictures at school events, games, homecoming, etc. It felt like a privilege to be able to capture everyone’s excitement, joy, & happiness in a split second- like the rest of the world was blurred out. My love for portrait photography only intensified when I got my first job at a photography studio in Guam. There, I gained experience in editing photos, lighting techniques, computer design, poses – the works.  

I became a CNA in 2018, and that’s when I knew I wanted to become a nurse. (Fun fact: I will be a third- generation nurse!) Although my mind was set in stone on what I wanted to do for my career, I always found myself itching to get my hands on a camera. And so, I did. I bought a camera in 2022, and recently upgraded cameras a few months ago. I always say, when I’m not in the hospital, I will most definitely be behind the camera- blurring the rest of the world out.
